14th EBES Conference - Barcelona will take place on October 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 2014 at the Hotel Silken Diagonal in Barcelona, Spain with the support of the Istanbul Economic Research Association.

Abstract Submission
Abstract submission for the 14th EBES Conference is now open. For online submission, please click here. We would like to remind you that the deadline for the abstract submission is July 28th, 2014.
Your abstract should be between 150 and
400 words. All abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format
and in English (including the title, authors’ names, affiliation, and
contact information of the authors). Abstracts should include
Objectives, Data and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. JEL
classification and up to 6 keywords should be used. Previously published
papers may not be submitted.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Program and the Abstract Book (with an ISBN number). It will be distributed to all conference participants at the Conference. Although submitting full papers are not required, submitted full papers will also be included in the conference proceeding CD.
If you would like to propose an organized session, please contact Ender Demir by e-mail (demir@ebesweb.org) including its subject and format along with minimum 5 presenters interested in attending the session.
If your paper is accepted for presentation at the conference, you are expected to serve as a discussant or session chair in one of the sessions or presentations.

* Completed paper submission is optional. If you want to be considered for the Best Paper Award, after submitting your abstract before July 28, 2014, you must also submit your completed (full) paper.
Registration
Registration for the 14th EBES Conference - Barcelona will start on August 4th, 2014. The deadline for the registration is September 12, 2014. To
register, you should complete the online registration form and pay the
registration fee. Participants also have an option to pay the
registration fee via bank transfer. To obtain the bank account details,
please contact us at ebes@ebesweb.org. In order to be included in the Conference Program and the Abstract Book, the registration fee must be received by September 12, 2014.
Invoice will be handed to you at the conference. If you do not inform
us, we would simply put your name and university/affiliation to the
invoice.
At least one author must register for each accepted paper in order to be included in the conference program. Registration fee is 300 Euros and 100 Euros for each additional paper. Registration is required for all participants attending the conference. Registration fee includes the abstract book, the conference proceeding CD, and other conference materials. Coffee breaks during the conference is also included in the registration fee. Accommodation is not included.

Best Paper Award
While submitting full papers are not required for EBES Conferences, only completed papers accepted for presentation will be eligible for the Best Paper Award. In order to be considered for the award, completed papers must be submitted before August 29, 2014 and at least one of the authors must have registered for the conference. The Best Paper Award will be selected by our Award Committee and EBES will award 500 Euros and “Best Paper Award Certificate” to the winner. |
Conference Venue
The conference in Barcelona will be held in the Hotel Silken Diagonal Barcelona.
Its location offers easy access to the Palacio de Congresos, the
International Convention Center of Barcelona (CCIB), the main roads, the
port and the airport, and means the city centre is just a few minutes
away.
During the conference, wireless internet and couple of computers will be available for common use free of charge.
All conference rooms will be equipped with a computer, a projector for PowerPoint presentations, and screen.
