Matsushita's Seven Basic Business Principles

In 1929 Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of Matsushita Electric, penned his Seven Basic Business Principles. More than seven decades later these principles are as applicable to our age of digital and wireless technologies as they were when he first wrote them.
We shall fulfill our responsibilities to the public by providing high-quality goods and services at reasonable prices, thereby contributing to the well-being and happiness of people throughout the world.
We shall be fair and honest in all our business dealings and personal conduct, always making balanced judgments free of preconceptions.
We shall pool our abilities and strength of resolution to accomplish our shared objectives, in mutual trust and full recognition of individual autonomy.
We shall strive constantly for improvement of our corporate and personal performances, even in the worst of adversity, to fulfill our mission to realize lasting peace and prosperity.
We shall always be cordial and modest and respect the rights and needs of others, to help enrich our environment and maintain social order.
We shall abide by the laws of nature and adjust our thought and behavior to the ever changing conditions around us, to bring about gradual, but steady progress and successes in our endeavor.
We shall forever be grateful for the blessings and kindness we have received, so that we may live with peace, joy, and strength and overcome any obstacles we encounter in the pursuit of true happiness
